The Civil Workplace,
Inc. is a company dedicated to the idea that "prevention is
the best medicine." Our goal is to help employers understand
and comply with the complex collection of federal, state and

More than ever before, employers are faced with a confusing
array of laws and regulations that govern how business is conducted
and how the workforce is managed.
Services offered by the Civil Workplace include:

training specifically tailored to an organization's needs
and concerns
- Handbook and policy/procedure manual reviews
- Performance evaluation and review training

- Internal investigations and compliance audits
- Qualitative and statistical audits
- A series of educational pamphlets geared toward
the human resource professional. Current volumes include
the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family
and Medical Leave Act, and Sexual Harassment.
The attorneys who staff The Civil Workplace are frequently asked
to speak or write on employment law issues for professional
organizations such as the Council on Education in Management,

Employment Lawyers Association, and the Virginia Trial Lawyers
Association.
