Ben DiMuro, Managing Partner of DiMuro, Ginsberg & Mook will
lead the Plaintiff's case in a mock jury trial presentation
that focuses on the fine line between investigative journalism
and defamation at the 2002 Libel Conference in Alexandria, VA.
The Newspaper Association of America, the National Association
of Broadcasters and the Libel Defense Resource Center are sponsors
of the conference, which began yesterday, and runs through Friday.
Ben DiMuro has more than 23 years of litigation experience having
tried over 150 cases. His trial experience includes the representation
of numerous clients in matters of First Amendment Rights, Rights
of Privacy and Defamation. Best known in the media for winning
a high profile defamation case against ABC News' Prime Time
Live, for defaming a Northern Virginia Business featured
in an investigative report, Mr. DiMuro is also credited with
recently winning the largest civil trial verdict in Virginia's
history in a recent securities fraud case.
In addition to his practice, Ben DiMuro is currently serving
as President of the Virginia State Bar, which regulates the
