DiMuroGinsberg is experienced in motor carrier and aviation transportation law before local, state, and federal courts and agencies, and represents individual airmen, carriers and operators in regulatory, administrative, and enforcement proceedings before the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). 

The firm has successfully defended national motor carriers from claims brought under the Carmak Amendment, as well as air carriers in contract and tort claims brought in federal courts, and is experienced in all forms of commercial, property, and personal injury litigation.

DiMuroGinsberg aviation and transportation practice is led by Ford C. Ladd, an AOPA panel attorney who is a licensed pilot.  Mr. Ladd represents operators and pilots in regulatory, administrative, and enforcement actions, beginning with initial reporting requirements and informal conference through hearings before the FAA, NTSB and courts, and who has lectured at Wings Safety Seminars with the FAA, NTSB, Virginia Department of Aviation, EAA, Civil Air Patrol, and Cirrus Design, and represents individual pilots and operators in administrative and enforcement proceedings before the FAA and NTSB.

  • Transportation and aviation litigation: Ford C. Ladd has successfully defended concealed damage claims brought under the Carmack Amendment, as well as wrongful death, personal injury, property damage, breach of contract, and unfair trade practices involving air carriers.
