The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s (EEOC) Enforcement Guidance on the Americans with Disabilities Act and Psychiatric Disabilities specifically states that employers may discipline employees with mental disabilities for violating workplace conduct standards even if the misconduct is caused by a disability.”
