NINA J. GINSBERG is a founding partner in the law firm of DiMuroGinsberg. Ms. Ginsberg received the Presidential
Commendation Award from the National Association of Criminal
Defense Lawyers in 1989, 1990, 1995 and 2001. She is "AV" rated
by Martindale-Hubbell. Ms. Ginsberg was named one of the 75
Top Lawyers in Washington by Washingtonian Magazine (April
2002).
Ms. Ginsberg concentrates on complex criminal trial and appellate litigation,
with a focus on financial and health care fraud, espionage, Patriot Act and other
international litigation, money laundering and professional ethics.
Ms. Ginsberg is a member of the Board of Governors of the Virginia State Bar Criminal Law Section. She served on the Virginia State Bar Council from 1997 to 2003 and currently chairs the Bar’s Lawyers Malpractice Insurance Committee.” Previously, Ms. Ginsberg was a member of the Bar’s Standing Committee on Advertising and Solicitation and the Eighth District Grievance Committee.
Ms. Ginsberg is an Adjunct Professor at the George Washington University Law
School and has taught the State Bar’s Mandatory Professionalism Course.
She has served on the Board of Directors of the National Association
of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), as the Chair for the NACDL's
Amicus and the Judicial Liaison Committees, and as Vice Chair
for the NACDL's Forfeiture and the International Affairs Committees.
Currently, Ms. Ginsberg is a member of the Lawyers Strike Force
Committee and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines Committee of
the NACDL. Ms. Ginsberg is also an active member of the Virginia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Virginia Women's
Attorney Association.
Ms. Ginsberg is currently a member of the Editorial Board of
the Criminal Law Advocacy Reporter. She is a frequent lecturer
and commentator to state and local bar associations and the
National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and on local
and national news programs.
Ms. Ginsberg received her B.A, with honors, from the University
of Rochester and her J.D. degree from the Antioch Law School.
Ms. Ginsberg is admitted to the Bars of the Commonwealth of
Virginia and the District of Columbia. She is admitted before
the U.S. Supreme Court and numerous other federal district courts
and courts of appeal.
