HILLARY J. COLLYER's practice primarily focuses on civil and commercial litigation. She has experience handling civil, commercial, contract, employment, business and other tort actions before state and federal trial and appellate courts and arbitration panels. Ms. Collyer is experienced in all phases of litigation, including pre-litigation counseling and strategic advice, investigations, pleadings, discovery, law and motion practice, injunctions, evidentiary hearings, trials, arbitrations, appeals, and settlements.

    • Counsel for plaintiff trade association in trademark infringement action brought against association’s former director. Obtained judgment including injunctive relief and attorneys’ fees.
    • Lead counsel in successful defense of government contractor in defamation, negligent hiring/retention, and constructive discharge action brought by contractor’s former employee.
    • Trial counsel for defendant car dealership in Americans with Disabilities Act and Title VII race discrimination action brought by former employee. Obtained jury verdict for dealership.
    • Trial counsel in breach of fiduciary duty and fraud action brought by trust beneficiaries against trustee. Obtained verdict for beneficiaries after bench trial.
    • Trial counsel in prosecution of negligent hiring/retention action against Red Cross. Obtained jury verdict for plaintiff.
    • Counsel in successful defense of corporate veil piercing action.
