MICHAEL E. BARNSBACK is a partner in the law firm of DiMuroGinsberg and Vice-President of Marketing and Operations for the Civil Workplace, Inc.

Mr. Barnsback represents clients primarily in the areas of employment law and complex civil litigation. Mr. Barnsback represents employers and employees in all aspects of federal and state employment law litigation from administrative hearings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and local human rights commissions to forma0l trials in federal court. He also counsels and provides seminars to employers on issues of compliance with the complex array of federal and state laws governing the employer/employee relationship.

Before his association with DiMuroGinsberg, Mr. Barnsback served as a federal judicial law clerk in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. During law school, Mr. Barnsback was a legal assistant for the Federal Judicial Center in Washington, DC.

Mr. Barnsback lectures frequently on Human Resources compliance requirements and other areas of employment law. He is an active member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and the Alexandria Bar Association. From 1999 to 2004, Mr. Barnsback served as a Hearing Officer for the Fairfax County Civil Service Commission, presiding over the appeals of employee grievances.

Mr. Barnsback received his B.A. degree in Sociology from the College of William and Mary, his M.A. degree in Sociology from George Mason University , and his J.D. degree from George Mason University.

Mr. Barnsback is admitted to the Bar of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
